Mac: Click "OK" to save your document settings, and then print your model by opening the "File" menu, and then clicking "Print." Draw the 176′ by 272′ foot rectangle over the terrain you wish to include and follow the steps below.

Ignoring the margins, the full size dimensions work out to 176′ by 272′. Here’s an example: Say you want to print the contour lines at 1/16 scale onto a 11″ by 17″ sheet of paper. The dimensions of the image will have to match a predetermined area in order for the scale to match. Other formats such as AutoCAD can be exported at full scale and then scaled for use in that program.ī. If you don’t have SketchUp Pro: You’ll have to export as an image at the end. If exporting to a PDF, options to set the scale will appear when saving the file. If you have SketchUp Pro: You’ll be able to export the lines to many different formats.
If you are not worried about using the finished contours at a certain scale, then skip to step 4, if not, see one of two options below.Ī.
